Recognizing website

This directory is the deploy-ready static source for https://recogniz.ing. The canonical website repository is https://x.vibewait.ing/x/recogniz.ing, with main as its publishing source. The app source is maintained separately at https://x.vibewait.ing/x/recognizing.app. Make website changes here rather than copying an older Website/ directory from the app repository over this checkout.

It intentionally has no third-party analytics, fonts, scripts, cookies, or external product-render assets. A small first-party script stores the visitor’s Light, Dark or System preference in local storage and applies it across pages. Without JavaScript, colours continue to follow the device setting. The homepage contact form prepares an email draft in the visitor's email app; the site does not send or store contact messages. The email address is also shown directly for visitors who use webmail.

The homepage hero uses recognizing-macos-live.webp and recognizing-ios-live.webp, copies of first-party screenshots from the public Mac and iPhone App Store listings. Both show fictional workshop demos in the real apps. The older start and settings images remain in assets but are not shown on the homepage. The labelled timeline is an illustration, not app UI. assets/app-icon.png is the 256px icon from the published Mac 1.0.1 source release (86d3ce34), visually matched to the current App Store artwork. Do not replace any public image with a real meeting, customer name, transcript, note, screenshot, provider credential, file path, or diagnostic identifier.

Before publishing:

  1. Verify the two live-demo screenshots against the currently published apps.
  2. Verify the contact email address and its mailto form on the homepage and support page. Keep support requests free of private meeting content. The app repository's issue tracker is not publicly accessible; use email for support.
  3. Confirm the final legal seller name and copyright.
  4. Push the intended website commit to main on the canonical remote. The owner confirmed that this deploys automatically. Verify the live homepage and /privacy/, /support/, /terms/, and /accessibility/ over HTTPS. A successful Git push alone is not proof that the live site has updated. Do not restore the old GitHub Pages CNAME.
  5. Enter the verified privacy and support URLs in App Store Connect.

The public copy describes Mac 1.0.1 and iPhone/iPad 1.0, verified against Apple's Australian App Store listings on 28 September 2026. Keep unreleased background recording, image-analysis and return-transfer changes out of the available-now description until their release and device checks are complete. The old GitHub installer returned 404 on that date, so downloads currently use the App Store.
